1) Tell us a little about you and what you do!

I wake up early but once I’m up, I get to hang out with Long Island! I look for relatable stories that might make a listener smile, or think, or want to experience something and help that monotonous commute seem a little bit easier every morning.

2) What’s your favorite thing about being on The Shark?

Almost every song I play on this station was on a mix tape I made as a teenager. The newer stuff WOULD have been on those tapes if it came out in the 90s. I love that I get to share the same music and type of music that got me through so many Long Island storms, figuratively and literally with others who are simply looking for shelter from the storm.

3) What’s the #1 thing you’ve learned working with Jeff and Stevie?

Patience. Jeffrey is an incredible psychic medium and at times it could be annoying. You want to open the floor to as many people as possible but you tend to get some repeat callers no matter how random the phone selection may be. Jeff and Stevie taught me that those people may just simply need the help more, and if their getting through, it may be the universe recognizing who is in the most need.

4) What’s your favorite Nickleback song? Don’t even try to dodge this one!

Whichever one is the shortest. This is a trick question. However, I answered.

5) Tell us about Hope Rocks and how we can help!

Hope Rocks is an eight hour telethon where we spread one simple message, ‘With Music, You’re Never Alone.’ We’ll be playing some inspirational songs that helped each of us get through some dark times. We will have celebrity guests choosing their favorite songs for getting by and break the stigma about having Mental health conversations. You can listen at 943theshark on 11/13 from 11am-7pm and help spread the word by sharing all of our social media interviews and donation links. We’ll have links set up on all of our pages where you can donate and help spread the message.

6) What’s a personal goal for yourself that you want to accomplish this year?

I have been so lucky to work with some of the most talented musicians of my formative musical years on two mental health videos. One was for a song I co-wrote the lyrics to called “Choose Song” and the other is a cover of Stevie Wonders, “I Just Called,” which was my Grandmothers song to me. My dreams is to assemble an All Star concert here on Long Island with these artists. These are members of Candlebox, Sponge, Wheatus, Josh Devine, the legendary DMC, and Black Suit Youth along with musicians who have been so generous to our cause over the years like Scott Stapp, Snake Sabo, Greg Unchurch, The Nixon’s and so many more. My idea is to host it on Long Island but stream it to the world so that we’re all together for one day, singing one message, one song.

7) What’s a song that brings you joy and why?

Far Behind by Candle Box. It was the first song that I felt I could claim on my own. Yeah the lyrics are dark and it could be seen as depressing but the song reminds me of the greatest memories of my life. Sitting on a street corner on a summer night with my friends and hearing it come on for the first time from a boom box that hung off the corner of my friends Alisons scooter. Those free times, when being on that corner was the most important thing in the world. Today it reminds me of my closest friends who I lost in 02. He and I shared a love for that song. Every time I hear it, it gives me a chance to think of my best memories with him.

8) What’s your funniest moment working in Radio?

I flew to LA to cover a Wheatus concert. I had just separated from my ex wife. I wasn’t in the best head space for a variety of reasons. My flight was also at 6am, so I left my house at 4am to get to JFK. I got to LA at noon, hungry, grumpy, and unsure of where I was going in life. I just knew I was going to see my friend Wheatus. Over the years, I developed a real solid friendship with them and was really looking forward to hanging out and forgetting Long Island for a bit. I ubered to the arena and saw the tour bus and my carry on hanging off my shoulder and not in my best shape. I knocked on the door and when it opened, there was Matthew the bass player, 3000 miles from home with no idea that I was coming because the singer Brendan forgot to inform him. He looked at me, standing there haggard and jet lagged and said, “Oh hi…  I’m sorry but we don’t have any food.” Not only did my friend not recognize me, he thought I was homeless. Now we laugh about it every time it is brought up.

9) For those struggling with depression, what’s a piece of advice you have?

That there is a song out there for you. There are lyrics that were written by someone who DOES know what you’ve been through. You are not struggling by yourself. Find the right song and you’ll feel the support. There is a hashtag called #choosesong where a wide variety of people, from my listeners to celebrities, to random strangers who could be you and I, suggest their song and that song impacts you.

10) Where can we find out more about you?

If this was the 80s, my mom would say the back of a milk carton because she’s giving me up. I’m on Instagram as @Orlando0616 and Twitter @TattooandTalk. My email is Orlando@943theshark.com Also, my mother is a huge influence on me now. Despite tongue in cheeks threats of giving me up for four decades, she was the first  to suggest radio for me and is so prominent in my spiritual and emotional growth today.

1) Tell us a little about you & what you do!

I’m a guide who helps visionaries, creatives and leaders to reclaim their center so that they can design their lives purpose. I take people through a process I call, “Discover Your Flow.” To discover your flow means to get in touch with your core unique energy signature.

What does that mean?

So when we grow up we are born into family structures, societal structures, and cultural norms. So as children we grow up absorbing all these things in our environments, yet within our innocent nature we were always wonderers, immersed with what is.

The journey I take people on is to create more oneness within, after absorbing programs from the past, to being immersed in your own. It’s about bringing all aspects of ourselves home. This is the path of wholeness, where we really discover our flow. And from there we build out inspirations and visions. I bring all my resources into it as well.

2) What’s a big lesson you’ve learned from your Near Death experience?

The greatest lesson I got from that incident, was that there is so much more to reality than meets the eye. It also taught me about the world of energy, how everything is energy, vibrating at different frequencies. It also taught me about how most of the obstacles we think about we create. The choice is simple, you’re either getting busy with living or you’re getting busy with dying. We get to choose which dance to tango in the moment.

3) What’s something that most people don’t know about you?

I had some big time struggles in my past, from being in depression, dealing with social anxieties, feeling out of place etc… It was through accepting those parts and loving them that I am able to do this type of work.

4) What’s a tip for someone who wants to Level Up in their life?

One of the best things I ever learned from mentor, was that it’s a 3 level cake. At the bottom we have awareness, in the middle we have choices, and at the top we have results. The results depend on the choices and the choices depends on the awareness. So developing a strong sense of self-awareness will take you farther than you can ever imagine because you are with yourself all the way. Just simply immerse yourself into what lights you up. Even if it’s as simple as going for a walk, follow those nudges everyday and consistently and you’ll know how stuff just starts to transform around you. It’s quite a show when it does.

5) Have you had a synchronistic moment lately that has impacted you?

So recently I decided to fly off to the other side of the country on a one way ticket with no plans or anything. Just following the inspiration. As I’ve been here, I’ve had so many things come up, just patterns and fears. Every time I think it’s all going bad, I realize it’s all happening for me not against me. So this is synchronistic for me because somewhere deep down, I still had some doubts whether I was on the right path etc…But this is awakening me deeper into my own being.

6)  What is something in nature that has been a teacher for you?

I love this question, because spending time in nature is probably what I do the most in my off time.  The truth is all of it teaches me. From how the trees grow, to how they connect with everything from the sky, the sun rays and the moons glow. The animals and plants how they move in this perfect motion with life. The greatest thing I learned from nature is that we are nature. We are not separate from it. So we get to really reconnect with something special when we spend time there.

7) What do you love about portrait photography?

I love catching the light, I love seeing how it falls and creates a vibe. Then when I get to put a person in front of the lens with the combination of the environment, I feel like I get to see people’s soul when I shoot. Which is powerful for someone to see themselves and for me it’s a reminder that there is a part of me in them too. It conjures up the energy of oneness within me.

8) Who’s someone in the industry that has inspired you?

Personally, I love so many different people’s approaches. I get inspired by all industries. From art, portrait photography, fashion & music. I am honestly more inspired by the moments of genius delivered by such epic people.

9) What do you love about yourself?

I love my willingness and ability to love unconditionally, it’s been quite a journey giving that to myself. I can now honestly say that I simply love myself as I am and now I get to grow from there.

Pat Longo

1) Tell us a little about you and what you do!

I am 70 years old, and have lived on Long Island my whole life.  I have 5 children and 17 grandchildren from the ages of 1 to 22.  I received the gift of healing approximately 25 years ago while attending a class on Spiritual Awareness.  I am an International Spiritual Healer/Counselor, Teacher of Spiritual Awareness, and Past Life Regressionist and do healings and teach in over 40 countries.  As you can see, I wear many hats.

2) What’s one of the craziest synchronistic moments you’ve had this year?

My life is filled with synchronistic moments, I can’t think of any particular one that stands out to me at this moment.

3) As a healer, do you believe 2020 is a year of Big transformation within people?

I believe that 2020 is a huge transformational year.  People have had much time to reflect on their lives.  To learn to appreciate what they have in their lives.  Some have learned to meditate and open up to their spirituality.  I believe that many have learned to honor and love themselves more.

4) Can you immediately tell when you meet someone if they have healing abilities and how?

I can tell immediately when I meet someone if they are an empathic match to me.  I can feel their energy as soon as I speak with them.  Others may touch me and I can feel the heat in their hands, so I know that they have healing abilities.

5) What’s a simple self healing technique someone could use if they are feeling anxious?

When someone is feeling anxious, the first thing they should do is to fold their arms in front of them, covering their solar plexus to block whatever energy is coming at them.  A pillow would work in a comfortable setting, anything to cover that area will calm their anxiety.  To eliminate the anxiety, they would have to learn to surround themselves in a bubble of God’s white light, ground themselves into the earth by imagining roots connecting to the earth from their feet and tailbone, and by imagining that they are wearing a vest of armor.  Thoughts become things, it is all done with your imagination.

6) Where is a place in the world that you feel has a good energy and is healing for the soul?

A place that you can go to get healing energy is to a body of water, an ocean, lake, stream, etc.  Also a place in nature is very calming and grounding, a park, a sanctuary, a planetarium.  You can find these places most anywhere in the world.

7) The video of you online with the shadows is incredible! Do you think these are multiple Angels working with you?

The video that you have seen of me on Instagram is one of many, they are all very different and my students see all manner of spirit surrounding me when it happens.  Archangels, Jesus, Mary, Isis, Deities, children, prehistoric animals, etc. There are colors and lights coming from my hands, my mouth, from my head.  These cannot be seen on the videos, however, just the shadows when they move from the floor to my hands, as well as wings that appear to be coming from my sides, as well as multiple arms.  Many of these entities work with me.

8) What’s a simple technique to align the chakras?

A simple technique to align the chakras is to imagine each of your chakras spinning in a clockwise direction, they should be clear and shiny like a jewel, all the same size, or simply meditate for a few minutes to a chakra balancing meditations.

9) Is there a specific Angel or Spirit you work with that’s an incredible Healer?

I work with a team of Archangels that surround me and my client during a healing.  The energy comes through their hands into my head and out my hands into the head of the client.  I also work with Jesus, who is my Master Teacher, my Guides and many others that I call in when necessary.

10) Where can we find out more about you?

To find out more about me, my book “The Gifts Beneath Your Anxiety”, as well as my Audio Book, is available Online on many sites listed on my website @ patlongo.net.  There are multiple podcasts and radio shows on my website that are filled with helpful information.
