1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do!

Firstly, thank you for this opportunity! I absolutely love your work.
So what do I do exactly? Well, I’m a Digital Producer, Content Strategist, and On-Camera Personality. As a native Brit, I have an undeniable love for all things in New York but also enjoy being transatlantic and having the opportunity to work between London and America. I’ve built my career in front of the camera as a TV Presenter and then transitioned into content development and production about 5 years ago. At the same time, I was making that transition, I noticed a gap in the market when it came to media development in-house at companies and decided to form my own business that would focus on creating an authentic video for companies to use as a marketing and experimental tools.

2) What’s a simple tip to build confidence in front of the camera?

Practice. I know that sounds simple and straightforward but it really is the best advice I could give. You want to practice so much that you become unaware of the camera being in front of you. You also want to feel so comfortable that you are able to separate yourself when you watch your material back. You need to be objective about your videos, not precious and steer clear of being over critical. Think of yourself as a coach who is training the “On Camera” version of yourself. Be kind, but always be honest.

3) What do you see lacking in Media in Corporate Companies?

Currently, corporate companies are doing one of two things. They are lacking accessible digital content that resonates with their audience because they don’t believe in budgeting for videos. And if they do, it appears over professional, well-rehearsed and flat. It doesn’t sit well with the audience. They are making content for the sake of making content. Or, they are contracting video appearances and media opportunities to contractors, influencers and other experts outside of their network, which runs the risk of lacking authenticity.
Corporate companies need to invest, train and develop content internally.

4) You’ve interviewed some incredible people, who is the one person who really sticks out to you?

The Founder of Social Deviant, Marc Landsberg is by far one of my favorite people to interview. Constantly as an interviewer, you are always trying to energize, motivate and make your guests feel comfortable but Marc has a way of making the interviewer feel comfortable. His mission was to create the kindest company the business world knows and he has done just that, truly pioneering a positive company culture. He is inspiring, innovative and an honor to interview!

5) I know you love to travel, where is your favorite place you’ve traveled and why?

I absolutely adore the South of France. I think it’s a mixture of style, luxury, calmness, and peace all rolled into one. I can sit on a veranda, drink the finest wine, eat a ton of cheese and people watch through any afternoon without any interruption. That to me is heaven.

6) How important is it to you to create a certain energy in the room when working?

Creating certain energy when I walk into a room is really important to me. I believe that the outer world is a reflection of your own inner journey. Therefore, you can shift the energy of any room for the better if you carry your self on your highest level.

7) What is something you are currently obsessed with right now?

I’m obsessed with researching, understanding and learning more about boxing. I love the sport and believe that there is a strong correlation between the sport and the mind of an entrepreneur. I love training, learning and understanding the connection of how I can use my boxing skills to strengthen my work as a leader and business owner.

8) Who is someone that has inspired you this month?

My Nana. After moving back to England for the summer I’ve seen how strong, dependent, positive and hard-working she is as she takes care of my Grandad who is 90. Sadly, he is losing his memory and you really see a sense of unconditional love, support, patience, and strength come out of her.  It makes me look and understand those personal traits when it comes to relationships and not just the importance of resilience in all areas of your life.

9) What’s a struggle you’ve come up against working in media & how did you get through?

The main struggle I come up with on a daily basis is that people do not know how to define me. For that very reason, I have chosen to define myself and create my own role within the world of media.

Psychic Medium Dawn Krug

I’m so excited to have this interview up! I met Dawn through social media & we ended up meeting up in the city. She is the most genuine person, I’m looking forward to you guys getting to know her better!

1) Tell us a little about yourself & how did your abilities come about?

When I was 5 years old I moved to Troy Pennsylvania and lived in an old farmhouse. This was a huge change from living in northern New Jersey. Immediately moving to the farm I felt a difference in myself, it was like a shift took place in my life and obviously at 5 years old I was unable to decipher it! The walls of my bedroom in that farmhouse talked to me, I saw things and felt things that no one else could explain, and ended up almost nightly crawling into my parents’ bed asking if I could sleep with them because I had a bad dream.  I was telling my parents once what I was experiencing when I was about 10 years old, my father pointed at me with that laser pointer finger of his and said in his stern military voice; “There’s only one ghost. It’s the Holy ghost and that’s it!!”  Needless to say I was mortified, and even more confused that I was getting in trouble for something that I was expressing was real and that no one could decipher. Flash forward throughout Iife, I could always tell a dishonest person, someone that was cheating, or if someone truly liked me or not.  In 2005 I left my ex husband 3 days after Christmas, needless to say my world changed. Many intuitives speak how some sort of trauma brought out their abilities, this was also the case with me. My intuition was always there, but the trauma from my divorce in the abuse I endured from my ex husband caused my abilities to come forth all at once!  Although it was a traumatic period of my life,  For the 1st time in my 35 years of existence, everything felt right in my world! I didn’t know how I was going to grow spiritually, I didn’t know anything about intuition and trusting it, but in my gut I knew my life was going to change drastically!

2) What advice do you have for people who want to improve their intuition?

I always love being asked this question!  It’s one word in its from within yourself, and that’s trust! I tell my students all the time if I can push past my insecurities in fear of being wrong there isn’t a person in this world that can’t do it to!  I can teach you to use your intuition, I can teach you to trust your intuition, but I cannot teach you to trust yourself!

3) I know you have a connection with mermaids, why is that?

We all come from a star seed or a place from somewhere.  I’ve had millions of lifetimes on this Earth and of other places.  It’s been traced back into my ancestral lineage of a Mer lifetime! It’s also written in my astrology that I always need to be living near a body of water, as I reflect back to different homes I’ve lived in,  There have only been 2 homes that water wasnt near, and I only lived at them briefly! As I sat on Sanibel Island 5 years ago staring at the Gulf of Mexico, and felt this wave of emotion from the gulf speaking to me.  It was something that resonated within my soul, I could hear the words in the whispers telling me to be a peace, it came from somewhere and without a doubt it came from the Mer that still exist in the waters we love. As a child living in New Jersey I grew up on a beautiful piece of land that was known as the “Ranch” in Hackettstown New Jersey. At this ranch my grandmother had a Lake with small cottages that she rented out every summer. I lived on the property in a house and spent most of my life in the water. At 4 years old I came up out of the water looking at my mother who was completely hysterical on the dock above me. Apparently, I had been under the water for a very long time and she thought I drown!  I haven’t channeled information yet in regards to this lifetime, it’s just something I feel within myself.  Interestingly enough I can also tell who I have had Mer lifetimes with as different people cross my path!  Another little fun fact? I’ve always hated to eat fish, but love shellfish!  I’m also very good at fishing, but catch and release. My family has always teased me I don’t even need to put bait on the hook!  I also have an absolute obsession with seashells!

4) What’s one of the scariest moments in your life and how did you pull yourself out of it?

I don’t speak of this often, but it is part of my story. For 9 years after my divorce my oldest son had nothing to do with me. I felt like I endured the death but my child was still alive. I went 9 years not being able to hug my firstborn, experience his “firsts” from the age of 14 to 23!  I was told once that a part of me was missing and will never come back until I had resolution. There was no speaking to him, mending fences, there was only one thing to him. He wished me dead and swore to never speak to me again. Nine years? Nine incredibly painful years of not hugging my baby.  I truly wanted my life to be over with at one point.  I begged my father to hospitalize me out of fear of what I would do to myself because my son at the age of 14 hated me and wouldn’t have anything to do with me. Dad stood in his living room, grabbing me by either shoulder yelling at me that “I couldn’t go anywhere that I had 2 other children that needed my strength!”  Not to sound arrogant, but it takes a lot to truly scare me. But I was scared for myself and for my oldest son’s safety. Knowing what kind of life he would be living without me guiding him..I felt numb for those nine years, I cried (secretly) almost daily. But didn’t show my pain to anyone. My new post divorce friends knew nothing of my estranged son, I kept it a secret.   On Christmas Eve 4 and a 1/2 years ago everything changed. My son not only came back to me but brought an amazing wife, and within the 2 weeks of coming back, a beautiful granddaughter came into my life. She’s magical, and my mini me.

5) How do you deal with people who judge or don’t believe in what you do?

In the beginning, I lost who I thought were cherished friends. That hurt a little bit, but I reminded myself they couldn’t have been true friends if they turned their backs on me?!

Those who choose to believe need no proof is needed, those who choose to disbelieve, never have enough proof. That’s really okay, I know my connection to the universe.  I honestly want everyone to believe in something for themselves, it’s not up to me to force myself upon anyone or make them believe. I was taught at an early age that you never discuss politics or religion with anyone, that this is private within yourself. I’ve held true to that and allowed others to have their own path.  Being a true libra, I don’t like confrontation. I just send those who don’t believe love and allow them to be on their journey just as I am on mine.

6) What is authenticity to you?

I love this question! Authenticity is the raw, genuine you! Not the “behind the scenes”, “put on a show” you. It’s like taking a deep breath and leaping into the unknown and not caring how you land. Just knowing you’ll land safely! Walking your talk, and being okay with it!

7) Name a few of your favorite Oracle/Tarot/Angel cards!

I love the “Good Tarot” by Colette Baron-Reid, and the “Spirit Animal” deck for my own personal use. Honestly, my immediate ‘go to’ at my Studio is Angel Tarot by Radleigh Valentine!

8) What’s your favorite Spirit Animal surrounding you right now?

Since I recently moved to a home on a riverbank it has clearly been an Eagle!  I see them almost daily, their strength and power I am in complete awe with!

9) What is something you are picking up on energetically for the collective over the next month?

I feel as if another shift is taking place. Jupiter is going to stop being in everyone’s faces, yet even though I’m not sure what or why, but there is a shift starting in August, this retrograde is ending with a tail like Haileys Comet! It’ll start off August with a blast, and soften by the week of the 23rd. It’s almost as if a large door is closing… locking, and what ever you purged is done and no longer an energetic connection! (That was hot off the press just channeled info by the way!)

10) Where can people get in contact with you & do you have any events coming up?

As of right now I don’t currently have any events coming up! I bask in summer weather of Pennsylvania! I have a studio office at 323 Broad st, Waverly, Ny 14892 and a (soon to be revamped) website:Www.psychicmediumdawnkrug.com Of course social media!
